Vikrant Srivastava is a dedicated climate change specialist with extensive experience in
Multi-stakeholder engagement, civil society, and intergovernmental processes. He focuses on advancing climate adaptation solutions, fostering youth leadership, and shaping policy within the UN system and civil society. Vikrant has played a pivotal role in global environmental governance, contributing significantly to RIO Conventions, UNEP, UNEA, and the INC Plastic treaty. Currently, he serves as the Asia-Pacific Focal Point for CYMG UNEP, YOUNGO Focal Point Asia Youth Empowerment, and is on the Youth Policy Board of the World Food Forum. Additionally, Vikrant sits on the advisory board of multiple UNEP and UNCCD accredited organizations and CSOs.
As a member of the Youth Policy Board Cohorts 2 and 3, Vikrant specializes in policy advocacy, particularly promoting healthy nutrition, diets, and sustainable food systems. His influence spans regional and national levels, with initiatives like Asia Youth Empowerment empowering 500 youth across Asia in UNFCCC processes, enabling their active participation in major climate negotiations.
Vikrant has enabled many youth through his advocacy to participate in official country delegations at COP28, COP27, SB58, and SB60. In India, he has facilitated numerous youth dialogues and empowerment projects, including YOUNGO UNFCCC initiatives like LCOY 2023, LCOY 2024, and support for the National Youth Consortium.
