I am running to represent the people of San Ramon. I have been a resident of San Ramon for more than 13 years and have three children who attend our public schools, including one with special needs. I have a deep connection with San Ramon and have no plans to leave the city. I want to shed some light on why I am running for mayor.
Community Challenges:
If I did not run, we would have one elected and four appointed representatives. District 2: appointed by Mark; Mayor running unopposed, so essentially appointed; District 3: Sridhar running unopposed; and if Marisol wins, she will appoint someone for District 4.
Back in 2020, there were kids protesting outside the city of San Ramon. I met with them personally, organized them to attend council meetings, and educated them on how to raise their concerns. Those kids were largely ignored. I believe we need leadership that is willing to listen to your concerns and work with you to find solutions.
Community Engagement Ecosystem:
My top priority is to proactively engage all those voices raising concerns online, at the farmers' market, in school clubs, as well as in town halls, and channel them into future leadership roles and boards.
